Little Cherubs have been working in collaboration with our sole sponsor, Riley’s Garden Centre, on a super exciting project!
To transform our private woodland into an incredible outdoor classroom where our little learners can explore, enquire and reap the benefits of playing outdoors in a tranquil, private and safe area. It is no secret that spending time outdoors has limitless benefits particularly for children in their formative years. Did you know that playing outdoors meets all of the areas of the EYFS and then some? Fostering a connection with nature from a young age improves mental health and well-being whilst instilling important life skills and strong characteristics of effective learning such as resilience, independence, decision making, problem solving and teamwork.
Riley’s is a local, family run business that provides the Manx community with a comprehensive range of garden machinery, outdoor furniture and plants. In addition to this, they offer pets, BBQ’s, beautiful decorations, toys and gifts. All of this is provided within stunning grounds containing an outdoor children’s play area and café, there really is something for the entire family.
We feel extremely lucky to be sponsored by Riley’s, who share our ethos, passion and commitment to providing the children of the Isle of Man with outdoor community projects.
Our children have been using their new space to mix potions and mud pies, search for interesting creatures, climb and swing rope tyres and much more. Take a look at our before and after photos and once again, a huge thank you to Riley’s for all of your support.
Our nursery is just a short drive from Douglas town centre, which makes drop offs much easier, avoiding the main hustle and bustle of town. We provide professional care for children from 2 to 5 years.
