Outdoor learning
Here are some photos of the outdoor learning that has been going on over last week and today 🙂
Today we took the children to our piece of land that we will be using to do our outdoor learning. We started the session by taking a walk around the land with the children and getting them to identify any dangers and marking out our boundary area with red tape. This encourages the children to begin risk assessing things for themselves and helping them to think about safety.
We also played a game called 1, 2, 3, where are you? which also is used as a safety game during each session. When the staff member shouts 1, 2, 3 where are you? the children shout back 1, 2, 3, I’m here and return to a designated meeting point. We are all so excited to continue our outdoor sessions at our new piece of land and look forward to updating you with more pictures!
Our nurseries are only minutes apart from each other and just a short drive from Douglas town centre, which makes drop offs much easier, avoiding the main hustle and bustle of town. We provide professional care for children from 9 months to 5 years.
