Settling In

Choosing a nursery for your little one is such an important decision, and one that is not made lightly. We understand how this time can be an emotional time and so we aim to make it as seamless as possible.

On your little ones first taster, you can come in for an hour. This is a chance for you to see the day in action, whilst meeting your child’s keyworker and asking them any questions you may have. Your child will feel safe, having you by their side for their first nursery experience. The next taster is for 2 hours where we recommend the child comes alone, this is to allow them a small introduction whilst also allowing them the freedom to explore their new play environment.

Learning, Play & Trips

The keyworkers plan daily activities for the children to enjoy ranging from playdough making, arts and crafts, song time, story time and messy play.

As the children in The Seedlings Room are so little, their trips are to the soft play area for an additional charge. They will access Outdoor Learning Trips when they move to The Saplings and Oaklings Rooms.

Sleeping

Sleep time is from 12.30-2, where your child can relax in a dimmed, cosey area with soft music. There is always a keyworker supervising the sleeping children for utmost safety. We provide the fold-down beds and the bedding, that are individually labelled and washed freshly every week, to maintain hygiene standards and avoid cross-contamination. You can bring a comforter/dummy in your child’s bag for sleep times.
