Our Woodland Garden

Little Cherubs Nature Kindergarten are delighted to confirm we have been fortunate in acquiring the use of some private land to continue our outdoor learning and forthcoming Forest School sessions.
Today’s session involved exploring their new surroundings, establishing boundaries by carefully placing red tape in areas the children helped identify as unsafe and the associated risks. Linking to last weeks scientific visual experiment of “Sink & Float” the children threw stones into the river to observe the results.
Looking after children of pre-school age requires careful observation and adherence to the Early Years Foundation stage principles and the seven areas of learning. Forest school sessions can provide for the unique child and help that child to build positive relationships. It is an enabling environment and we know that for preschool children Little Cherubs provides the best opportunities to meet those early learning goals.
