Nursery practitioner - Baby Room

As a Nursery Practitioner in our baby room you will work with the room leader to provide a nurturing, safe and fun environment helping children to settle in and be encouraged for their development.

About you

  • Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent, an interest in outdoor provision would be desirable
  • Clear and Enhanced DBS check
  • Experience working with children of this age group
  • Excellent understanding of the EYFS Framework
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and organisational skills
  • Passionate about childcare with a friendly, approachable and enthusiastic manner
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with parents, staff and children

Baby Room Leader and Nursery Practitioner

Our beautiful nursery is looking for a qualified Room Leader to join their team and lead a small number of staff and provide excellent care and education for children between the ages of 9 – 24 months old.

As the Room Leader you will be responsible for overseeing the planning to ensure it meets each child’s learning goals, their independent learning and encouraging next steps. The nursery follows our natural approach ethos and focuses on children’s natural curiosity whilst incorporating these influences into each child’s progression.

Baby Room Practitioner

About you

  • Be responsible for a small group of key children

Little Cherubs has an immediate vacancy for a EYFS Nursery co-ordinator.

We are recruiting a qualified experienced Early Years Practitioner for our small baby unit to work with children aged from 3 months to two years of age.

The successful applicant:

Will be level 3 qualified and be passionate about working in childcare with previous experience of working with the under 5s.

You will be able to work well in a team, have excellent communication skills, and be willing to become involved in all aspects of nursery life.

As part of our team you will have opportunities for professional development.

 

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • To oversee and have full responsibility of co-ordinating the day to day running of the baby unit.
  • To establish a happy calm and safe environment, providing the highest standards of care for children.
  • Be able to plan and provide stimulating activities appropriate for the child’s age and stage of development both indoor and outdoor
  • To record observations in development folders
  • To welcome, settle children and have key person responsibilities
  • Have sound knowledge of the EYFS
  • Be reliable and conscientious.

Little Cherubs Nature Kindergarten is a newly founded nature school based on Forest School ethos with a particular emphasis on creativity, play and learning through nature.

We follow a holistic approach to childcare. We focus equally on indoor and outdoor learning as we believe education should be fun. We believe that indoor and outdoor play provides this and enhances their personal and social emotional development, communication skills as well as their physical development

Due to our continued success Little cherubs Nature Kindergarten is recruiting full and part-time EYFS Nature Kindergarten Practioner’s:

You will be required to take on this role and Outdoor learning will be a part of this position. The responsibilities that this position holds include contributing to planning and managing the learning outcomes of your key children. You will build relationships with parents and work with them to ensure their children have a safe, secure and stimulating pre-school experience.

The Candidate:

Should be experienced, self-motivated and a caring practitioner with a love for the outdoors and willing to join our friendly team.

Preferably hold a Level 3 in the EYFS with a min of one years’ experience in childcare.

Forest school training will be provided.
